How to install the browser extension

Click on the Tracking Blocker tab.

The first time you run IDSeal Pro-Tec, it will recommend you install the browser extension for each of your browsers. Follow the on-screen steps to install.

If you’d prefer to install the extensions at a later time, just click the switch next to Not Installed, and IDSeal will show you how to install the extension.

Once the extension is installed for each of your web browsers, this screen will show the tracking attempts that have been blocked across all the browsers on your PC.

How to uninstall the browser extension

To uninstall the extension/s from your browser/s, simply Right-Click the extension icon in your browser’s top right corner, and select ‘Remove Extension’

You can turn on and off the tracking blocker from 3 different locations. Turning the tracking blocker on/off from any of these locations will auto-update the other locations, so you only need to do it once, from the location most convenient to you.

How to scramble your current fingerprint

Fingerprint scrambling occurs automatically every time you start your browser and/or open a new tab. However, to proactively do it – You can click the Scramble Now button to instantly scramble your digital fingerprint.

How to exclude a website

The anti-tracking engine might interfere with your browsing experience with some websites. In such cases you can add the specific website
to the exclusion list so that the anti-tracking engine will ignore that site and its tracking attempts.

To exclude a site from anti-tracking blocks:
Go to settings – > Blocking Exclusion Manager -> add the url to the url field and click add

How to turn on the ad-blocker

Turning the ad blocker can be done from 2 different locations:

1. From the main screen – turn the ad blocker switch on/off

2. From the browser extension – turn the ad blocker switch on/off

Tracking Blocker – Mac

• • Locate “Tracking Blocker” on your sidebar
  • Toggle on (to the right) the browser extension you wish to enable
  • Note: if the browser extension is not yet installed, IDSeal Pro-Tec will prompt you to download that extension with a step-by-step tutorial and link to download the extension.

How do I uninstall the browser extension?

• • Removal Option 1 for Chrome:
    • In Chrome, tap on the extension to see “Manage Extensions”
    • Next to IDSeal Pro-Tec, select the ellipses (stacked three periods)
    • Select “Remove from Chrome”
  • Removal Option 2 for Chrome:
    • With Chrome open, select “Chrome” from your action bar at the top of your screen
    • Select “Preferences”
    • Select “Extensions”
    • Locate IDSeal Pro-Tec from the selection of extensions and click on “Remove”
  • Removal for Safari
    • With Safari open, select “Safari” from your action bar at the top of your screen
    • Select “Preferences”
    • Find and select the “Extensions” icon at the top right of the dialogue window
    • Select “Ad Blocker” or “Tracking Blocker” from the sidebar
    • Click on “Uninstall”
    • You’ll be advised that to uninstall the “Ad Blocker” or “Tracking Blocker” that you must remove the IDSeal Pro-Tec application

How do I scramble my current fingerprint?

• • • Locate “Tracking Blocker” on your sidebar
    • Click on “Scramble Now”

How do I exclude a website?

• • • In Chrome:
      • Click on the IDSeal Pro-Tec extension
      • Toggle off (to the left” the button for “Exclude this Site” (Tracking will not be blocked)
    • Through the IDSeal Pro-Tec application
      • Click on the “Settings” icon
      • Click on “Blocking Exclusion Manager”
      • Type in the URL that you wish to exclude, then click “Add”
      • Note: You can select if you wish to block Tracking and/or Ads in this setting by selecting the checkbox next to the URL after it has been added

How do I turn on the Ad Blocker?

        • Locate “Status” from the sidebar
        • Under “Ad Blocker”, toggle the button on (to the right)
      • Through Chrome
        • Click on the IDSeal Pro-Tec icon in your extensions bar
        • Tap on “Ad Blocker” from your sidebar
        • Toggle the “Ad Blocker” button on (to the right”
